Hi! I’m Carla.

I am an interactive media instructor in the Scott Borchetta College of Media and Entertainment and a doctoral candidate in the College of Graduate Studies at Middle Tennessee State University.

I’m a content creator and community organizer, serving as the lead organizer for Craft Content Nashville for more than a decade. In 2024, I launched Content Economy Nashville, designed to be the third-generation of content-focused events in Middle Tennessee, and Artisanal Insights, a podcast featuring local digital content creators. I’ve also co-hosted a college football podcast for 15 years. 

Oh, and I’m a girl mom who enjoys playing the piano, choral singing, and listening to vinyl with my husband. I’m also hopelessly addicted to coffee and home renovation shows on HGTV.

My favorite phrase these days? “Life is life-ing.” But at least we’ll have some great stories to tell along the way.
